Megan Thee Stallion was hospitalized after falling ill mid-performance during Moulin Rouge! The Musical in New York. (FOX32). Her representative said she became “very ill” Tuesday night and was taken to a hospital for evaluation; no cause has been disclosed. “Last night was a real wake-up call for me,” Megan wrote in a post on Instagram. “I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me,” she went on to write. According to her spokesperson, doctors identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. She was discharged and was resting (FOX32). Megan Thee Stallion will miss the show’s two performances on Wednesday, but the spokesman added that the rapper would return to the musical on Thursday (New York Times).
